The ARMTA Recognition Fund was established in 2008 to augment prizes offered to participants in the biennial Alberta Round of the CFMTA National Piano Competition. Since 2012, the fund’s scope has broadened and prizes and scholarships are presently awarded to Alberta students in all genres on music.
Presently, donations to the ARMTA Recognition Fund provides prizes and scholarships for:
- the biennial Alberta Round of the CFMTA National Piano Competition
- the biennial Alberta Round of the CFMTA National Voice Competition
- the biennial ARMTA String Competition
- the ARMTA Student Composer Competition
- ARMTA Branch Awards
- Needs Based Bursaries
- Pedagogy and Continuing Education
- Calgary Arts Summer Camp
- Contemporary Showcase Festivals in Edmonton and Calgary
- other awards designated annually by the ARMTA Provincial Board
ARMTA acknowledges the support of the Thelma Johannes O’Neill Prize (donated by ARMTA Edmonton Branch) and many donations by individuals and organizations. ARMTA acknowledges the continuous support of the Edmonton Community Foundation and The Frank & Ethel (Weisbeck) Rusconi Fund.
Donations are acknowledged for one year in ARMTA Provincial programs and publications.
Donations could be an opportunity to celebrate, remember or thank a colleague as you support music students throughout Alberta.
A tax-deductible receipt for donations of $20.00 or more will be issued by CFMTA.
