ARMTA Recognition Fund
The ARMTA Recognition Fund was established in 2008 to augment prizes offered to participants in the biennial Alberta Round of the CFMTA National Piano Competition. Since 2012, the fund’s scope has broadened, and prizes and scholarships are presently awarded to students in all genres of music.
Presently, donations to the ARMTA Recognition Fund provide prizes and scholarships for:
- the biennial Alberta Round of the CFMTA Multidiscipline National Competition
- the biennial Alberta String Competition
- the ARMTA Student Composer Competition
- ARMTA Branch Awards
- Needs Based Bursaries
- Pedagogy Scholarshipts
- Calgary Arts Summer Camp
- Contemporary Showcase Festivals in Edmonton and Calgary
- other awards designated annually by the ARMTA Provincial Board
ARMTA gratefully acknowledges the ongoing support of the Frank and Ehtel (Weisbeck) Rusconi fund in partnership with Edmonton Community Foundation. We also extend our sincere appreciation for the support of the Thelma Johannes O’Neill Prize (donated by ARMTA Edmonton Branch), as well as the many donations by individuals and organizations.
Donations are recognized for one year in ARMTA Provincial programs and publications, including Tempo magazine. Your contribution can be a meaningful way to celebrate, honour, or thank a colleague or teacher while supporting music students across Alberta.
A tax-deductible receipt for donations of $20.00 or more will be issued by the CFMTA Trust Account.
