Alberta Registered Music Teachers' Association in partnership with the Alberta String Association presents
Choosing & Preparing Competition Repertoire for Junior Strings
The Alberta Registered Music Teachers’ Association and the Alberta String Association are collaborating on the first-ever event dedicated to preparing the younger generation of string players for upcoming Junior String Competitions in 2026.
The “Masterclass & Discussion” event format is a multilayered event that focuses on the preparation for public or competition-level performances, stage presence, various aspects of repertoire selection, and Q&A sessions with participants, teachers, and auditors. The event is open to anyone interested in learning about the art of string performance and pedagogy. There will be a clinician at each event who will handle the masterclass and discussion.
